Been MIA!!

So, yes, I have been MIA for awhile, a lot has been going on, here on the homefront, which is making it very difficult to get anything done! My computer has been down also, which is more frustrating for me, because I couldn't get any of the info I needed, for some very important business transactions!! I thought I had the problem solved, and was wable to be on the computer 1 day, and then bam!! my computer was crap again!! Just got it back a few hours agao, so hopefully, things will be alright now.

My part-time job, is starting to feel the effects of the economy, we all wondered when it would happen for us in the healthcare field, and it happened last Friday, at a mandatory meeting, we are losing 4% of our pay, starting in a few weeks, so now, I have to find a part-time job, to help my part-time job, to help my part-time candle business, sounds very confusing doesn't it?? It very difficult to say!! 4% doesn't sound like a lot, but it is, I will be losing a dollar and some change, but each week, it all adds up, and when the paychack arrives, it will be a big wake-up call to all of us!! With medicaid and medicare not going to pay for certain services, like oxygen, transportation, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and a few more things, the nursing homes will have to start paying for the services! Which really sucks!

I guess, I should I should be really thankful that I have a job, because sooooo many don't right now, and I am very thankful believe me!! Work for hubby has been super slow this summer, normally he is brings home some very nice checks, and this summer, they have been steady checks, just not the ones he or I like!! Between candle supplies, and the Harley Davidson stores, they are probably wondering where we are at!! lol

Well, I have to finish some things before bed, I have to work in the morning, and it will be a long one tomarrow, I have more orders to get ready, and have to work on my samples for OOTB for September, and do a candle basket for a charity event for next weekend. So, I will talk to you all in a few days, if not sooner, as long as the computer cooperates!!

Been Busy!!

The last few weeks I have been busy with work and spending time with my son, since he has been here visiting, I will get to see him this next weekend and other family whenI go back to Indiana for a family reunion! YESSSSS! the dreaded family reunion's! lol...Wouldn't be so bad if my cousins who are around my age would be there, but mostly, its just gonna be the older generation, and my brother and his wife and daughter, and my sister & her husband and their 3 kids!! YIPPIE!!! Don't figure they would mind if we brought a cooler of beer to get through the day?? (not hardly, they are all RELIGIOUS!!, guess I'll stick with my diet coke!)

And the past few weeks also, I have been busy getting all my samples ready for the Out of the Box Sampler, and Michelle has been having a contest for July, and that has made me very busy! I'm in no way complaining, I'd rather be making candles, then working at the nursing home, its just right now, the nursing home pays a little bit better! lol Isn't that the way it always works?? The stuff you would rather be doing is so far out of reach, and the stuff the you really wish you weren't doing is the only thing thats is reach! dang it all to ####!!!

So we were planning on having a little get together with friends for Goof's birthday, (which the little fart had the nerve to turn 17 TODAY!! OMG!!), but he decided he didn't really want a party, he just wanted us to take him out to eat, which I was cool with that idea too, maybe go bowling, I'd like to go to the Cheesecake Factory, of course not to eat, but to get cheesecake!! They have the Turtle Cheesecake which is my favorite, I always wish I had enough money to buy the whole damn thing, but it would be gone in less than a day, I would rather eat that than regular food!! I KNOW!!! i'm a pig when it comes to cheesecake!

So I think I told you about my 20 year class reunion coming up in September?? (yeah, i'm talking about eating a whole thing of freaking turtle cheesecake!), I'm getting a little excited, not to much though, its been almost 20 years since I have seen some of them, I hope we all don't have expectations that we all look the same as we did in high school, if thats the case, I'm about 50lbs heavier!! thats bad, maybe it would have looked so bad wrote down, if I had stated 50 in 40 years!! lmao!

Oh well, we are waiting for goof to take a shower, so we can go eat, (he's texting his woman!) the only time I have had my phone in my hand, is when I have been at work, he normally gives it back, AFTER the battery is about dead!! I'll try to take pictures tonite, the word be TRY!! he's a booger about getting his picture taken, not a booger, but a real pain in the rear, he ALWAYS does something stupid to ruin a perfectly good picture, if he pulls that crap, I'll post all pictures to show you all what I go through!! lol

Well, I'm off and running to get his butt in gear!! Have a good weekend!!

Come On Weekend!

Hey everyone! How are you all doing? Me I'm waiting for Saturday morning to get here! I'm leaving Saturday morning, to make the 3 1/2 drive to Indiana, to pick up my son "Goof"!! Whoo-hoo!. He'll be staying with us until sometime after his birthday, which is August 1st, so I guess the next available day I have off, will be the day I take him back.

Well, remember how I was feeling guilty because the jeep blew up, and he wouldn't be able to have it?? Well, problem has been solved, my grandmother, has been gracious enough to "loan" him the money to get his first car! (maybe it's a good thing I live in Ohio!) I'm just kidding, he is a very good driver, I let him drive back the last time he was here, and I must say, he drove like a 100 year old!! I'm sure that was just for show, but whewwww, my husband and son talk about how slow I drive??

Well, between working at the nursing home, and recieving on-line orders, and trying to get my samples done for the sampler box for August, I'm just totally wore the heck out! I was making good time with everything, and now.....well, thats just another story saved for another day! Warning to Michelle, i'll be cutting the deadline close!! again, as usual! (hopefully she has gotten used to me by now!)

Well, thats all I have for today/tonite, and by the way, the truck up at the top is mine! and it is working great now! I guess the wheel bearings in both the back tires had to be replaced, and all I can say now, is that hubby is jealous, because my truck is a bad ass 4wheel drive (his isn't, haha), and my truck has a kick ass radio (his is okay, another haha), and last but not least I think it is BIGGER!! So really, guess who wear the pants here!! I have to pick on my husband, its the right thing to do!! I'm really showing him some love, because he would do the same forsure with me!

Oh, I almost forgot, I found out today, on facebook (of course!) that I have my 20th year HIGH SCHOOL REUNION coming up in September! hmmmmm, how does that make me feel, well old of course, its was easier turning 39 in June, but I'm sure it will be a blast! We'll all get a buzz on, and since we are legal this time, maybe some of them from high school won't get taken to jail, like they did for SENIOR SKIP DAY!! I was so glad, I spent my senior skip day at the Honeycreek mall in Terre Haute! What a surprise it was when I came home, and saw 1/2 of our gradutaing senior class being walked to the local jail! Memories! GOTTA LOVE THEM! GO CLASS OF 1989!

Been A While

Happy Friday out there in bloggerville!! It's been awhile since I have posted anything, as some as you may know, I have been on the hunt for a vehicle, mine, well, the engine blew! GOOD NEWS!! I finally got a truck!! Yep, I got a truck, I actually got it on Tuesday (of this week), and I had it a little under a day, and it's been in the shop!! I KNOW!!!!!

When I went to this dealership on Monday, after I got off work, after all the number crunching, and all that, it was basically time for them to close, so I wasn't able to test drive this truck, so I went to get it Tuesday, I had it off the lot for about 10-15 minutes, and had it right back up there, there was a terrible screeching noise, and of course the ABS light was on, so I took it up there Thursday, they have been nice enough to give me a loaner, and now, I'm waiting for them to call, so I can get my truck! BEARINGS went out in the back, I'm not sure what a bearing is, all I know it makes a terrible screeching noise.

I'll post a picture of this new truck, as soon as I'm done with this blog. I only have one, and it is the one I took with my cell phone, its an older truck, has a lot of miles, at this point, I don't care, all I want is a vehicle, and the fact that it is 4 wheel drive and my husbands truck isn't is pretty cool to me!! terrible aren't I?? He is already calling dibs for it, come hunting season, when they go to Jackson Ohio for hunting, the last time I let him take my vehicle, it came back trashed with mud, and smelled like, well men who didn't know how to take a bath! for a week! I am thinking do I?? or do I not let him use my new truck??? Hunting season is still several months away, and so I have some time to think about it.

WHEWWWW!!! so it's been a little frustrating here!

Since, I am looking for another vehicle, I need to save back as much as I can, for a down payment, and every little bit helps! Car Shopping is a #!#!#

As all of you know, my car went up in smoke, literraly. (ya I know its spelled wrong!!) And now trying to find a vehicle is just impossible!! I was off yesterday and today, and of course, hubby worked yesterday and now TODAY!!! And I go back to work tomarrow, and I can't seem to find a happy medium!

I knew I would be looking for another vehicle, I paid the old one off, I had, had it since 2003, and I did promise it to my son, I thought it would be a good vehicle for his 1st car, it would have been paid for, and all he would have to worry about was keeping insurance on it, and of course maintenance, and gas in it. He was excited, because he would be able to find a job, and not depend on my parents to get him to where he needed to go, I think my parents were excited, that way they wouldn't have to give up their vehicles!

So I broke down and told him the bad news, he was BUMMED!! But then the next day, him and my Dad went to Terre Haute, IN for something and stopped at a few car lots, and that was kind of exciting for him, he did say if he heard this one salesman, go on 1 more time about how a vehicle had "cool, cool air conditioning" he was going to scream!! I told him, that is just one of a saleman's pitch, in order to sell a car, he said it was annoying as heck!! But it was funny to hear him go on and on about vehicles he liked, kind of reminded me how I was, and my brother was and probably how my sister was!! Like he was the first 16 year old to ever go car shopping.

Needless to say, I still feel kind of guilty, but then again, I am a mom, and wanted to do something nice for him, he is such a GOOD kid! I still wish he lived here with us, maybe soon, maybe after he graduates, right now he has a girlfriend, and of course, "girls rule"?? Really!!! I never had that much em-empowerment over a boy, at least not while I was a freshman! His girlfriend is a freshman, thats why I said that!!

So I have been on-line since last night, looking up whatever info I could at local dealers, and wherever I could go to find a vehicle, I know what I want, I don't want a car, I have compresion fractures in my back, so if a car sit toooo low, then it hurts my back, and since I have had my jeep, I sit up a little higher, and my back don't hurt, and I am not as nervous, passing a semi in an suv than what I was in a car! I have always wanted the older style of a Dodge Durango, I love that style, and I always here, you don't want one of those, the transmissions are crap, get a new style, they are more improved?? What?? Really?? I hate the new style of Durango's, I don't like how they look from the front, but then again, they have a HEMI!!! I don't really think I need that much power, it just seem like another way for me to get in trouble!!

Well, I had to take a break from searching the internet for cars, and I think I may go do some laundry, after a while on this machine, I feel like I am slighly cross-eyed!! As soon as I find a vehicle, I am going to take pictures and show you all what I got!! If I ever find anything, and if I can get my hubby to take me somewhere to even look, I would like to test drive the new camaro for shits and giggles!!

Can my day get any worse??

If reading yesterdays post made you think "oh my"!! and I'm sure it did, I am not one for holding back, I stated earlier when I first started my blog, that what you read basically is what you get, it may be about candles, or it may just be about my family, my job, or whatever! Yesterday you all got the low-down, on the current family situation, today, well, the last 24 hours have been a real joy!!

Saturday, my husband and our neighbor, put new rotars, brakes, drums for back of my jeep, and did an oil change, and changed the oil filter, which by the way took most of my day off Saturday to do, (they're men, they aren't very motivated), yesterday I noticed a noise on my way home from work coming from the front end, and said something to my husband, and that is pointless, because he's a floor guy, not a mechanic, and I must have been speaking every other language, except english, which at this point is understandable!!

Today, I went to a gas station, where they have actual mechanics, and they heard the noise, and said it was some sort of rod, and the only way that caould be fixed, was to get a new engine! GREAT!! Like I have extra money just laying around on my coffee table or up my butt, to be able to throw down $1000.00 and thats beign cheap, to buy a new engine, and thats including whatever I would be charged for time and labor, or anything else! The mechanic stated that "god knows when it will give out" GUESS WHAT???? 30 minutes later......... You guessed it, it blew up!! This is the same vehicle, I am suppose to give to my son, not likely to happen now, and I am trying very hard how to tell him, it will devastate him, just like it devasted me, to sit on the side of the road for 45 minutes trying to call my hubby, who was out in out garden, and left his phone in the truck!!

Does life get any better than this?? All my readers, basically just got a 2 for 2 Tuesday! How awesome of me to be able to give you quality entertainment! So now, I have to find a new vehicle, try to pick up more hours at work to help put a nice down payment on a vehicle, and I just got paid yesterday, and I am about broke!! WHats a girl to do??? Later I am locking myslef in the bathroom, with the cake I just made, and drown my sorrows in a bubble bath eating my cake!

And I just want to thank Linda, for some words of encouragement, Ohio is not a bad place to live, I am still getting used to it, and there are some days, I have to mapquest my rear end around to find out where to go!! Maybe by the time I have been here 5 years, I might have gotten a grip!!

Hello!!

I have taken a little break from my blog, mainly because I didn't really have to much to say, about anyting, because I have been so dog tired from my day job, the humidity has been yucky, I swear one day last week I went in with curly hair becuase I did get a perm before we left for bike week, and 12 hours later, it was straight!! Literally!, and by the time I come home eat supper, check emails and do laundry and whatever else, I'm exhausted!

But now, I just have to vent..... I can only start out by syaing, "family, can't live with them and can't live without them"!! It all started this evening, when my son called, (remember, goof lives in Iniana with my parents) all upset, him and my mom were getting in to it, AGAIN....... and it really pinches a nerve with me, I understand, that my mom is still "hurt" because I moved here in 2006, but really when does it stop??? When I moved here, I moved here with my son, for us to have a fresh start, and to finally be out on my own with out family interference, but because I have been married several times, my mother has said that I am an unstable person. I say, I am a shit magnet for picking the wrong men!! I don't think is necessarlily means I am unstable!! I am happy to report, that after numerous failed attempts at marriage, I have found the prince that I have been searching for, and have manage to stay friends, with my last ex-husband, (the others I could care less for!!)

But back to my son, a 16 year old kid, can only listen to so much from his grandmother (who by the way is studying to become a Quaker minister), bad mouth his mom, and he finally has had enough, that my son defended his mother's honor! He was literally almostin tears tonite on the phone, I have been telling him since he left, that he can ALWAYS move back here, I never wanted him to leave. Its been hard not having him here on a daily basis with me, I have settled for Christmas breaks, Spring breaks, and a few weeks in the summer, and we are planning on him coming over around July 18th and staying with us, until after his birthday, but my mom is mad, because she wants him to play football, and if he comes here, he'll miss practice, and according to her, he won't be able to play. Which I think is a load of crap! I think she purposely sign s him up or wants him signed up for things, that way he can't come and visit! If you haven't noticed I am at the point, where I have had enough!

I gave my parent s guardianship of my son, for him to attend school there in Indiana, by no means did I give up my parental rights, there would be no way in hell that I ever would! I don't feel like she should be able to say whether or not he can be here. As you can tell, I have a lot on my mind tonite, part of me, wants to be able to have work everything out between my mother and my son, the other part, just wants to go to Indiana, pack his clothes and move him back TONITE!! But then that doesn't really solve anything does it?

For some reason, I feel like I have been on my mother's "control list", she is not like this with my brother, or my sister, well, I take that back, when my brother and his wife moved 25 minutes away, you would have thought they moved to ten buck two! I figured at the age of 36, (thats how old I was when I moved to Ohio) I felt like I was making the right decision, for my son and I, and as far as I am concerned it has been the right decision, the only bad decision, was not putting my foot down with my son, and telling him he couldn't move back, but then, I didn't want him to resent me.

I understand, that it was all new to him, we moved here he was 13, that is a rough age for any kid having to move from the only "home" he ever knew, start a new school, and try and make new friends, we moved here in August and by the first of November, he was back in Indiana!! But it also didn't help, with my parents, calling 2-3 times a day, crying and begging him to come back to Indiana! Since then, you would have thought that she has given birth to my son, that she is his mother and so on.......I guess I have been dis-owned, which is okay, I also think they blame me for my grandfather dying, he had cancer, the same cancer my mother was treated for a few months back, I guess they just thought I would stay in Indiana, and care for my grandfather, I talked to my grandfather about moving here, and he was okay with it, I am sure he worried about me, but he also knew I was making the right decision, getting away from the person who was hurting me the most, which was my mother! I guess, according to my mother, my brother and sister in law, think I am mad becuase they are friends with the same ex, I am friends with, and I am still not sure why that was brought up, I guess it's just her way of stirring the never-ending -pot of bullshit!!

Does anyone have a suggestions, advice, I'll take anything at this point. My family consists of my husband, son, my mother-in-law, and my brother and sister-in-law that lives in Florida, and I am good with that.. I guess if my other family members want to be a part of my life, they'll let me know!
I am done venting, I am now tired, I hope you have all enjoyed my rambalings this fine evening, I really didn't think it would be this long!! Though, I did have a lot built up!!

Okay, I'm a little late with getting my reviews out for the Sampler Box, but I have been working a lot more here lately at the nursing home, and its hard to get to the post office, when they close at 4 and I don't get off work till 7:15,, and that is on an extremely good day!! So below you will find my reviews, in no particular order:

1. Ugly Duckling Designs- A fudge brownie cake bite tart, it was so real looking, I almost ate it!! It smells wonderful!!

2. Stephanie's Serenity- I recieved a tart, the scent was "beach daisies" smells wonderful on cold throw, and bet it will smell wonderful, when I put it in my tart burner!

3. Strawberry Fields- I recieved a Blueberry Patch potpourri (i'm pretty sure I just misspelled that!) It was a nice size sample, and I could smell the blueberry through the bag!

4. Pure Body- I recieved a whipped gentle scrub, I can't wait to use this!

5. Luxspa- I recieved a soy tart in the scent "heaven" and 10% off coupon on my next purchase.

6. Tuxedo Enterprises- I recieved a nice size soap sample in the scent "rain" with free shipping on an order over $30.00 or more.

7. PurBliss- I recieved a candle in the scent "bupcake bliss" and it smelled great!

8. Rhoda Rose- I love getting samples from her!! I recieved a chocolate covered pretzel, and a white chocolate pretzel, and a Marshmellow treat on a stick, all of it was awesome!!

9.Cindysoylites- I haven't decided if what I recieved was a really tall votive, or a small pillar candle, I went to her website, but couldn't really tell, regardless, its a nice size sample, I couldn't tell what the scent was, and there was nothing on there saying what the scent was.

10. Rose Valley- I recieved a nice size sample of lemon-lime soap, and if I mention OOTB at checkout I get free shipping on all orders of $15 or more.

11. SWC Creations- I received a sample soap, in bananna coconut, I couldn't really smell it though.

12. Avendel Bath & Body- I recieved a VERY generous sample of "body polish" in lemongrass sage, to polish this body I would definatly need more!! lol

13 Monkey Tree Creations- a dryer bag, in lavender, this is pretty cool, and 25% off any purchase until July 09.

Yep I'm back! I survived those long dreadful 12 hour shifts!! All 5 days worth, note to self, never to it again!! By the time Monday came around, I was literally dead on my feet!! and spent most of my day off Tuesday sleeping!!, and miraculously, was able to be in bed that nite, by 12:30, after half a day of sleeping, so I guess, when I am tired, I'm tired!!

So I took that crazy video of Joe Jonas being extremely stupid off!! I must have been tired when I posted it, but in all honesty, it was funny at that time!

I just recieved my box from Out of The Box Sampler yesterday, and here in a little while, I'll post my reviews, if not tonite, then tomarrow, when I get home from work, I'm still going through the box, once again, Michelle did a great job!!

Hey everyone how was your day?? Mine, well, it was a long 12 hours at work today, the nursing home was soooo muggy!! I kept going into the showeroom there, and standing in front of the AC with my shirt up, cuz it was soooooo hot! Seriously, Yep I did it!! Twice to as a matter of fact!!

So are you wondering how my 39th birthday went?? Well, it went good, my day consisted of me doing pretty much of nothing, web surfing, went to out local BMV and renewed my tags for my jeep, and then more of nothing!! Hubby fixed me a wonderful steak supper, (he is a god at the grill!!) He got me this wonderful card!!!......well, almost wonderful, on the front of this card it had love, written all over the front of it, a beautiful message on the inside of it, and plus a handwritten message from him, then, this really good I laid the card on the table, and just glanced at it again, and right there on the front it said " To My Husband", I looked again thinking I just didn't read it correctly, and nope I read it correctly!! I about died!! I immediately, got up went to get back on the computer, I had to get out of the living room cuz I was about ready to just burst out laughing!! (he was taking a shower), when he got out of the shower, he took our dog out, and I heard him come back in, and heard "What the hell!!" I could no longer contain it, I BUSTED!! ALL HE was worried about, was if the cashier, where he bought the card, noticed the front!!

And the only reason I'm telling this, is because I know my sister-in-law will be reading this, who then will in turn tell her husband (which is my husband's brother) who wull in turn call and bust his ass sooooooooooooooo much!! lol!! I'm sitting here typing this, and literally have tears in my eyes from laughing!!! Dear hubby is working nights this week. So Sharon, tell Mark to call around 3 or 4 in the afternoon!! lmao!!!

Boring ol' Sunday!!

Its a boring ol' Sunday here at our house!! I'm playing here on the computer, hubby is watching crappy movies!! And it is such an AWESOME day to be out doing something, other than being stuck indoors! We could be riding the bike, enjoying that, yeah, I'm a little crabby today!

We went fishing yesterday evening with friends, whoo-hoo!! can you feel the sarcasum in the air!!?? couldn't go to a river, or something like that, had to go to a pay lake, where it just so happened half of the county was already there! yeah!! memories!! and we couldn't go during the day, so I could work on my tan, we had to go at 7 in the evening, supposely fish bite better at nite, I think they do much better in the daytime! you know, that way you can actually see the fish "nibbling"on you line. I was going to take the camera, but what was the point--its dark, and even though I have night time flash, it still sucks. The best part we get home at 4 am! not fun!!

So how do I feel about turning 39 tomarrow?? I feel GREAT!, I have the day off, which means I'll be home alone, peace and quiet, can actually clean, without disturbing someone on the couch who is sleeping, watching tv, or whatever!! Its actually Thursday that I'm regretting, I start a 5 day stretch of 12 hour shift! FUN FOR ME!! I picked the extra hours up, cuz hubby hasn't been working since we got back from Bike week, and of course, now that I have 10, yes I said 10 days of 12 hour shifts in 2 weeks starting with this new pay period which happens to start tomarrow, he has work lined up! The upside, this check, after doing all these 12 hour shifts, should be awesome! I normally only work, 4-7 days per pay, and 7 being if I picked up hours, I am considered part-time, which means I'm only guaranteed, 4 days a pay.

Oh well, I have nothing elase to bitch or complain about for now, but its still early, who know I may be back!!

Hey there everyone!! Yeah, I know it s late!! It will be alright, this will just be something you can read with your first cup of coffee, or tea, or diet coke in the morning!

Well, I was right, about yesterday, there was no way, I was getting on the computer after working yesterday!! The nursing home about kicked my butt, yesterday was my first day back since like May 6 or 7th!! I was ready to go back, until.........the residents and staff decided to be looney!! I'm not sure if there was a full moon or not (and yes, in nursing homes it does affect them!!) they were ALL NUTS!!

Needless to say, supper last night was a frozen pizza!!, and as I was watching Dateline on NBC, I fell asleep in the chair!

Vacation was nice, until mother nature decided to make her presence known, she always seem to have the worse timing!!

And if you had a chance to look at the vacation photos, first off, we were not drinking ALL the time, my husband talked to his mom the other day, and she basically asked if we were drunk our enire vacation!! In all honesty, I would have loved to stayed comfortably numb, but being in the nursing profession, I know that motrin and alcohol, is not a good combo. And anyways, my bil and I were very good when it came to drinking, my sil & hubby, well, they are the wino's!! lol.
And I only say that, because we did go to 2 winery's, and they participated and bought wine!! I personally cannot stand the taste of wine, or champange. Give me an ice cold bottle of Miller Lite, or a strawberry margarita, or strawberry daquiri, or a dozen or more jello shots (any flavor) and I'm good!!

There are a lot of exciting things to about to happen to me, and I will announce them, when the timing is right, no i'm not pregnant!! You'll just have to keep reading the blog, and find out!

Yes, you read the title right, I am soooooo frustrated!! I was so pleased with my new purchase of wax I recently bought, the tarts look good, I was pleased with the nice finish on it, until........ I tested it with votives!! I still had to put them in the freezer, which was no big deal, but once they came out, and I got to looking, every one of those votives were cracked!!

Needless to say, I will be using my palm wax, until I find another solution. I'll keep trying new waxes. until I have the look I want. But it is darn aggravating. Yep..... VACATION cannot come soon enough!! I wish we were leaving today rather than Friday!!

I ordered my Box from Out Of the box Sampler, did you get yours?? I communicated with Michelle a few hours ago, and there weren't very many boxes left.... So I hope you were all able to order one. You won't be disappointed!! Though, my box may not be going on vacation with me, which means all my reviews will have to wait, the plan was to take it with me, and do my reviews while on vacation, the first couple of days it is calling for rain, so that would be a perfect time....oh well!!

Looking forward to being back in the box next month, and hopefully being able to send in jar samples this time instead of tarts. we'll see though.. Never know what you'll end up with!!

Hey everyone!! Getting ready to go to bed, my last day of work, until I start vacation on Friday!! whoo-hoo!! I'm sooooooooo ready!!

Just checked my email, and I had posted in my last post, the the Out Of The Box Sampler goes on sale the 6th, well it is going on sale TOMARROW!!! I myslef had to email Michelle myself asking her to bill my credit card, because I have to be at work tomarrow, and I'm afraid that by the time I get off work, they'll be sold out! Thats my kind of luck!!

Well, I have been busy filling orders today, I have all of them done, and ready to ship out before I leave, and I have some that I have to deliver to the girls at work. They have been really great to make sure my days off are not to relaxing!! I'll take it!! lol

Been Away

Okay, yeah, I know I have been away from the computer lately, and haven't been posting, but I have had some computer issues since my last post!! I hate, not knowing how I can screw up a computer so easily. But I'm back for a few days, cuz ya all know, I'll be leaving Friday, May 8th, for warmer, sunny weather!! Yep!! I'll be in Myrtle Beach as of Saturday May 9th!!! YEAH!!!!!!!

I am in need of a vacation!! I have been waiting soooooo long, I was in need of a vacation after we returned from Florida in October!! I need to clear my head, I need to do a lot of soul-searching, for what exactly who knows, and who cares, the Beach is calling my name!!

We will be there with my bil & sil, for Bike week!! The sound of Harley's, there is nothing more sweet!! and yes, our hotel is still in tact, and standing, as you may of heard of the wildfires in south carolina, yeah, around the barefoot resort area, that is where we actually stayed last year!! But my sil, called our hotel, which is the "sheraton plantation" and we are good!! Thank You Jesus!!!!

Well, I bought new wax, for my votives, tarts, pillars, and so on, so no more feather look for those items. At first, I was freaking out, cuz I couldn't get the darn things to pop out, and I had tarts to take to work for some orders I recieved, (I didn't have enough pillar to fill the orders) so I had to use the new wax, but, I put them in the freezer, for about 5 minutes, and they popped right out, I was actually sweatin for a few moments. And I like the look, and they seem to hold the scent, I had extra tarts from those orders, and popped 2 in my burner, that was like 5 days ago, and they still smell like I had them for an hour, so that is a very good sign.

Well, I have to work tomarrow, but I'll be off Sunday and Monday, then I work Tuesday, and then I'm done until I come back from vacation, it will be nice, it seems like since I went back to work in February, thats all I seem to do, and have time for, eat sleep, work!! The gals at the nursing home are keeping me hopping with orders, and thats okay, I'd rather make candles, than be at work ANYDAY!!! But, with things being slow, I have to work, some days, I wish it wasn't 12 hour shifts!

Well, enough for now, I think I have updated pretty much all I can at this point, Oh, I don't have pictures yet of the new look of the votives, tarts, etc. I keep forgetting to get batteries for the camera, which I have to get before next week!!

ALSO!!! I about forgot------- Out of the Box Sampler boxes go on sale, May 6th!! I am getting one again, I am totally addicted!!, hopefully, I can get it before the 8th, but that would really be asking alot of Michelle, but I'd love to have it to take on vaction, and show my sil, and have her help me do a review!! I know she would love it!!

Okay I know it been a few days since I have wrote anything, and tonite is going to be short and simple, as I have to be up at 5 am to get ready for work!!

Just an update, I did revise the scent list over on the website, and I have put some jars on sale, due to the fact, that once they are gone, those jars will not be offered anymore. I am in the process of ordering more jars, and am hoping to get the order placed by the end of the week, along with the new votive/tart wax I plan on using, after I test to make sure I like it.

The old pillar palm wax I was using, and still am using, until I test the new stuff, isn't "calling " out to me anymore. I am not as hyped up about it as I was when I first started using it. So, once everything has been ordered, and tested, new pictures will be put up on the website.

Chec out the scent list, and see if there is a scent missing, or that you'd like to see, one scent that I am definately ordering is the "maple syrup", my girlfriend who also makes candles, order it, and oh my does that smell yummy!!

My scents of choice, are the fall/christmas scents, I try burning those scents all year round, as I am not big on florals, or perfumes, though I do like "musky" scents, probably because if I do wear perfume, I always buy the "jovan musk". I also like "food/bakery scents, I am real fond of "creme brulee" and "birthday cake"....hmmm, anyone else getting hungry for some snack food, right about now??

Well, today I had a day off, which I spent doing nothing! well, not really nothing, I did do some laundry, and do the dishes, I also went to tan, I don't want to be lookin all pale for South Carolina in the next few weeks!! I managed to fix supper, and oh yeah, I made a mini-video!! How cool was that!?? Not long enough though, I'll have 3 days off in a row, after tomarrow, and I will work on something else, maybe re-do the one I have up there now!

So last week, was a really crappy week, work sucked, cramping started, (mother evil)! and I just couldn't wait for the week to be over, I had to work 12 hours on Easter, and it was nuts at the nursing home, so I'll be enjoying these 3 days!!

I plan on working on the website, adding some new scents, and putting things on sale, I might try to bite off more than I can chew, but, I need the challenge, and I need to get more confident, in my ability to work on my website by myself, than always contacting "support" at DIY!!

I have offered my services to a really nice lady, I am hoping she gets in touch with me, I need to be challenged more!! My life needs chaos, clutter, craziness, and all the wacky stuff!! With out that, you might not get to know the real me!! and you might just think, I am some boring person!! lol!!

Look for some changes coming from me, not real soon, I might wait for any major changes after we get back from vaction, but who knows, I may sneek some in before we leave!! I can't wait, for the sun, the sand, and the roaring of Harley Davidson's, and just relaxing with my husband, and brother & sis-in law!!

So, i'll close for tonite, I have to pack lunch for tomarrow, and get my scrubs laid out, and watch without a trace, so have a great nite, whats left of it, and i'll be back on thursday!!

So, today, I am going to post my reviews for the Out of the Box Sampler!! I am so excited I can do this again this month!! Like I have said before, I have been a contributor since last October, and never had the chance, or extra money to buy the box, so now that I am addicted, I will be doing reviews every chance I get!! So here are my reviews, in no particular order.

SBS Teas: First off, there were 2 chocolate candies in this package, that hubby took right away, along with the Pirouline Strawberry rolled wafers, (he assured me they were very good!) but I recieved a Japanese Cherry Sachet, Tropical Cyclone Sachet, and loose leaf tea, in Maple Cream. Hey there, in blogger-world! Hope your Saturday is going well, today so far has been great, weather wise, I won't be able to say that come Monday and Tuesday, we are suppose to get snow, and dip back into the high 20's, low 30's!! Today it is 60 out.

Well, I got up this morning, and after I finished up some light house cleaning, and took a shower, I made my way to the post office, was looking forward to mailing out a package, and recieving one!!, neither happened, I guess, I had a major BRAIN-FART, and looked at the clock wrong, I was 10 minutes too late! I was bumming, bad!!

I went to a local candle supplier, and bought a few things, that I ran out of, and I now have to do some candles for girl's that I work with, this past week, they have kept me very busy, believe me, I am not complaining, well, maybe a little, when I get home from work, I really don't want to do anything, like cook supper, make candles, I just want to relax, the supper thing, I think hubby FINALLY got the hint!! I didn't cook at all last week!! yeah!

So I am trying to decide for my candle business, if I want to change my pillar wax, I like the feathered look, but then again, some things I do with that wax, if the mold I'musing has a lot of detail, just doesn't show up as well, because of the feathered look, so I'm deciding, I may not make any major decisions until we return from our vacation in May.

I am also, doing away with one of the jars I carry on the website, and I may discontinue a couple others, I think I want to go the Apothecary jar route, and the mason jar route, which means the Victorian jars, will probably be discounted by the end of this weekend, or next weekend, just depends on what I am feeling here. I have a lot of decions to make in the next couple of weeks!! I hate making decisions!! Even if the question is "where do you want to go eat at??" I struggle, because its a decision!! I know I am totally WACKED!!

Well, I have been very busy today, I have been to the hair salon, getting my hair trimmed, not cut, just trimmed, I cannot let my sister win her bet, that I can't grow long hair!! I went to the supply store for a couple of scents that I was out of, I went to cvs, and bought hair color and frosting, (glutton for punishment!!) Hopefully if it is screwed up, I can go to the girls and they can fix it??!! hopefully, it's not screwed up yet!! BUT, I must be really desparate for a change, cuz I recruited hubby, to pull the strands of hair out, for the frosting, I think he was triny to pick my brain, and see if there was anything there!! lol

I have some work to do on the website tonite, the sale is ending, when I go to bed, and I am aggravated at the 2 local places I go to, as I can't get the scents I want, and have on my website, so now i'll have to re-do my scent list! WHich totally pisses me off, it's not I DON'T spend a lot of money in thier shops, I say I spend to much in their shops, and I can easily order my stuff on-line, but I choose to buy locally, for a reason! yeah, I'm a little gripey tonite.

So after midnit tonite, I will be starting my quit smoking task, not sure how this will go, I have cut back trememdously, (yeah its spelled wrong, I'm to lazy to backspace!). But it is still going to be a challenge!! You might want to start prayer requests for my husband! and most likely, my co-workers!! I have tried before, with no results, but I have to make this a priority.

Well, its Saturday, the weekend is finally here, and today I am taking "Goof" back to Indiana, which sucks!! He just needs to move back here!!

On the upside, I won't be making the 3 1/2 hour trip, I'll be meeting my brother, sister-in-law, and neice, in Greenfield IN, which is the 1/2 way point. Of course, with my brother, there are always "stipulations!!", which is $20 for gas, and I have to buy them lunch, at Ponderosa!! which is okay with me!! I hadn't been to Ponderosa in years, they use to have one in Terre Haute, over by the mall, when I was attempting to go to business college, but they closed it, and there was another one, but that was on Wabash, and I just didn't like driving that far out of the way for Ponderosa!!! I use to think they were the bomb, and my brother still does!

So, I told "Goof" the plan, because my brother, sister-in-law, are taking their daughter to swim in Indy, so you know he'll to get to stay in a hotel room, where there is a hot tub, inside pool, you would think he would be excited?? But then......the girlfriend is pissed, he had me tell her the plan, so that way she wouldn't get mad at him for it??? RIDICULOUS!!! 15-16 year old kids, and you would think that their life is over, due to a sudden change in plans?? Yeah, I kinda remember that feeling a LONG time ago!! Hate to tell them, they'll get over it!

Well, the sale is almost up over on the website, it ends, March 31st, and so hurry over and take advantage!!

Earlier today, I texted my brother, I was having some computer issues, though I didn't know I was having issues, because I haven't really been able to get on the computer!! I love having "Goof" here, I hate not having access to my computer, or my cell phone.

You see, "Goof", has a girlfriend, and I guess girl's are more important than spending actual time with your mom you don't see on a daily basis, which is okay, that he has his girlfriend, she has been really good for him, it just sucks for me!!

But, my brother finally texted me back, and said that my mom was coming home today from the hospital, which is good!! The part that really stinks is that the biopsy results are in: and they are positive!! Which means, that what they removed, was the same cancer as my grandfather, and is hereditary, which also means, that my brother, sister & I, plus my mom's 2 sister's are all going to have to be tested. Which BLOWS!!

So, I have told you what I know, my family isn't very good about telling me things, because I moved away from Indiana, which is fine they want to be that way, the only family members I can count on for information, would be my brother and his wife. and sometimes "Goof" when he doesn't forget!! HE IS VERY FORGETFUL!! must be the teenage thing!

So now I guess, when we take "Goof" back to Indiana on Saturday, maybe I'll find out what I need to do, in order to get tested.

So this is what I know as of now, 11:17 pm. Hope everybodys Thursday was good!! my evening was ruined by MARCH MADNESS!! I miss not being able to watch CSI!!

Hey everyone!! Happy Tuesday.

Just wanted to let everyone know, that my mom's surgery went very good! They won't actually be able to tell, if the mass they took out was cancerous, until they do all the tests on it, bt hopefully it wasn't. But I will be sure to keep everyone notified. We spent most of the day, at the hospital, in Indy. I always knew that place was huge, but never expected it, to be that huge!! We got lost, we parked in the wrong place, so I guess in other words, that was just a typical Monday for me!!

We got home, oh I'd say probably around 9p.m. last night, and hubby actually fixed supper!! I was shocked. Can't get him to took on the days I work, but I guess when it has to do with family it's different, oh well, I appreciated his efforts, and his spahgetti was awesome!!

Just a quick note, that th pictures of my family were taken at my SISTERS house, not mine!! I was looking at the picture of "goof" & me, and thought that I had better clarify, I am for some unknown reason, a clean freak, my sister is not!! and we don't understand, where I cought the clean freak bug, because it was not inherited!! LOL!!! (but seriously, I had to point that out!!) My sister will just love that.

Well, I am off to pick up the house, or apartment I should say, I have already started laundry, and I am also, working on a candle order to, so I will talk to you all later, and THANK YOU for all of the prayers that my family and I have recieved!

Hey everyone how is your Saturday? Mine is going very well, I have been finishing my samples today, and all I need to do, is go and get some printer ink!! I can't believe I forgot to pick it up, most days, I'm in a daze!! lol

Another Week Done!!

Well I have finished another week!! Now starting tonite, I have 5 days off!! whoop-peee!! Tomarrow morning I will make the 3 1/2 hour drive to Indiana, to pick up my son, who will be spending his spring break with us!! We are always excited and happy to have him over, I miss him DAILY!!!

Then this weekend, I will be finishing my samples up for the sampler box, and I am going to have my friend mail them off for me Monday, since my son & I will be making a trip to the IU Medical Center for my mother's surgery, that will be a LONG DAY!!! Tuesday, well I 'll be resting up!! getting ready to go back into work Wednesday. I only have 2 days next week, which is kind of a bummer, but then again not really, cuz I will have time to spend with "Goof", (my nickname for my son).

Tomarrow, I get to meet my new nephew for the 1st time, and I have already told my sister, that I was taking pictures of little Kaleb, and his big brother & sister to put up here on the blog, to show them off, like a proud Aunt should!! So yes, I did not forget, there will be pictures, and if you are all lucky, you may even see my ugly mug in a few!! lol

Okay, Goof doesn't know it yet, but he will be drawing the name of the lucky winner, I have been working on writing all the names down, SEVERAL times, in order to make sure all entries are accounted for, so remember get our blog out there, there is still time left for the drawing, winner will be drawn Sunday!! So spread the word!!

I haven't talked to PA-Heather (Willow Lakes), so I'm not sure how her 1st 3-11 shift went, if her 8 hour day was like mine, she was tired!! Hopefully she wasn't on a PYSCH unit!! (yah, I know, I'm looking at how I just spelled it, doesn't look right does it??) Can't expect to much out of me, I've been up since 5am Thursday, (guess it's still technically Thursday). At least her 1st day wasn't a 12 hour shift like mine!!

I'm reconsidering whether or not to go ahead and go full-time, I'm leaning more towards NO!! At least the current way I'm doing it, I have weekends off, and have the option to pick up days, if I want, which I have been doing, I have a few things I need to pay off, and VACATION in May, and I want some new toe rings from bike week, so I want the extra cash. Yeah toe rings, I have one from 2007, it's only been off my toe one time, and thats when I went in for the DNC I had to have after my miscarriage, it took almost 3 weeks to get used to that, but obviously I managed!!

Okay I feel a rambling coming on, and with me this tired that wouldn't be good!! I will talk to everyone either tomarrow evening, or Saturday. In the meantime, HAPPY 1ST DAY OF SPRING!!

OUT OF THE BOX SAMPLER REVIEWS

YES!!! I finally found my cheat sheet!! In my jeep, above my window visor!! I know, I know, I know!!! I'm an airhead and not afraid to admit it!!

I must say for my first Sampler box, I was quite pleased, and I was going to take pictures, but Ohio-Heather and I ate a few of the samples, while reviewing the samples, so therefore, since we ate a few things, I did not think it was fair, to take pictures and not have all of them in it!! SO I know, that a couple of you are anxious and curious, so lets get started!! These reviews are in no particular order.

1. From POOKIE- I recieved tangerine & vanilla lip balm, it was a nice sample, but neither I or Ohio-Heather really liked it. It just wasn't for us, so I gave it to someone who really did enjoy it!

2. STRAWBERRY FIELDS: Carpet Sprinkles, this was the neatest thing, in was scented in Lemon Pound Cake, and both Ohio-Heather & I really liked this concept. She says we'll also be trying this out, (in other words, it means we're going to try to make our own!!) Our husbands will appreciate, the extra messes at the house!!

3. ONE SCRAPPY CHIC- I recieved samples of mini-scrapbook/photo album card stock. It was a nice sample, I don't scrapbook though, I think my sister in law does, so I'll see if she wants the sample, I wish I had time to be extra creative!!

4. GEEK DETAILS- Well, I recieved a button that says I.W.I.N. I am not sure what that means, but it states that the button was not made in China, so I guess it is good that no jobs were lost in the process.

5. TARTAHOLIC- I recieved from SHeila, 4 cubes of the Butteredf Maple Oats & Honey!! all I can say is that I want to eat these, not burn them, they smell wonderful

6. M-D CANDLES- I am not reviewing my samples. If you want to know what my products smell like then you need to order!!! lol!!! just kidding!

7. EVERYDAY ECLECTIC- I recieved a nice soap sample in Farm Fresh Berries. It smells really good!

8. POLKA DOT CANDLE SHOP- I recieved a votive, in the scent Vanilla Cupcake, nice sample, scent isn't really for me.

9. WICK IT DESIGNS- Like I wrote in my review on the 2 crazy chics forum, I must have hit the jack pot!! with this company, I recieved a lotion sample, in pink sugar, a soap sample in lemongrass, bath salts in green tea & citrus, a tealight, in peony & fresh cut grass, 2 tealights in plum/vanilla, and a lavender & fig soy stick, (which I'm not sure what I am suppose to do with it) but am hoping someone will help me out with this!!

10. ANAM CARA CANDLES- I recieved a butterfly melt in the scent witches brew, which unfortunatley the melt broke during shipping.

11. HANDMADE CREATIONS BY C&K- Another candle melt, in fudge brownie, it smelled good, but again, the melt broke during shipping.

12. ANN'S CANDLES- I recieved a candle, in the scent Sandlewood, and a $5 off coupon.

13. SUMMERLAND SCRUBS- A Souffle Cream lotion, it is very nice & creamy and also recieved a coupon for free shipping with any order of $20 or more.

14.UGLY DUCKLING DESIGNS- I recieved wax crumbles in Irish Creme, and they had a shamrock in the bacg with them!! (Michelle must know I need a little extra luck!! lol) and a coupon for 25% off.

15. THE SWEET JELLYBEAN- I recieved 1 snickerdoodle cookie, which was very yummy!! and so soft, Ohio-Heather and I ate this while doing the reviews!!

16. SWEET MEMORIES & MORE- a chocolate bar, with a $5.00 coupon, hubby ate it!!

17. CUSTOM CANDY CREATIONS- I recieved a creamy chocolate cheesecake fudge, a peppermint stick, and apple candy with a 15 % coupon, Ohio-Heather and I split the fudge, and hubby ate the apple candy.

On A Mission

Hey everybody!! Well, I am happy to report I received my sampler box on Wednesday, probably would have gotten it Monday, but since I was working, and all, I couldn't get my mail until Wednesday. So I went to my friend's house, her name is also Heather, so I'll refer to her as Ohio Heather, well, I also have another Heather in my life, ya know her at Willow Lake's Scents, so not to confuse everyone including my self, my friend Ohio Heather, was with me to help do the reviews!! Which as soon as I find my paper I wrote it all down on, I'd be happy to tell ya all about them!!! Yes, I had a cheat sheet!!! and a lot of good it has done me!

Well, I have been cleaning again, in an effort to find my review paper, and also, since my son is coming here next Friday, I am unloading items over to our shed, hubby is not happy about doing that, but oh well!! Usually my son sleeps on the couch, here in our apartment, since the spare room is my candle creation lab, but I informed him, I was rearraging things, that way he can sleep on the mattresses, which he said he'd rather sleep on the couch, that way he can stay up all night watching tv while he's here, but told him no! the last time he was here, I watched him and hubby play "rock band", and ended up screwing up my sleep schedule, and now that I am working again, I can't be letting that happen.

Well, if you are a smoker like me, who has been trying hard, very hard to quit without getting any pills, and patches, I hope to be smoke-free by April 1st, when there will be a federal tax on the cigerettes, I guess if I can't spell it, I shouldn't be smoking!! So just to warn everyone if I'm a little bitcher than usual, Please bear with me. I'll be investing a lot more into lemon drops, I have heard, that the lemon drops help kill the nicotine in the back of your throat, I hope that is true!! Since starting work, I have cut back, which helps, but when I am not working, well, thats a different story.....

I also got my pictures of my new nephew, who looks identical, to his older brother!!! He is so cute, I will get to meet him this upcoming Friday, when I drive to Indiana to pick up my son, I plan on taking pictures, that way, I can post our family's new addition.

Well, thats all I got for now, so I am going to try to find my cheat sheet, and hopefully will have my reviews posted by this evening!!

Okay all, It's 11:30, and I should be in bed, but I'm not, I'm exhausted don't get me wrong, it"s just I still have to fill all my tea bottles for work tomarrow, and figure out what I am taking for lunch, since this nursing home doesn't provide meals for their staff. And that really sucks, cuz, there is hardly any room in the employee fridge!! I just don't understand, if your are done with your lunch, from the day before, have the courtesy to take out what you don't eat, and get it out of the fridge!! Thats 1 gripe out of the way......

Keep in mind, that on the days I work, I have to drag my butt out of bed at 5am, to ensure that my happy butt, is on time at 7am. which also sucks, cuz I'm not real big on mornings, so I already told you it was 11:30??? Well, I just ate supper at 10pm. GUESS WHO HAS BEEN HOME SINCE 4:30 this afternoon, guess who took a nap, guess who took another nap, while I was still in my scrubs, cooking supper??? NOT ME!!! you guessed it my juvinile deliquent, HUBBY!!!! Just when I think, I have made a point, or felt really good about getting my point across, I get screwed. Oh Yeah, guess who is in bed now, while I'm writing my blog?? hmmmmm. wonder........ yeah, NOT ME!!

So, I am still bummin, I can't get to the post office until Wednesday, thats my day off, so I am hoping, I have a good day at my local post office. So tomarrow, my 12 hour shift is going to drag, because now I have something to look forward to. Always my luck!!

So, on the upside, our reservations for the 2009 Myrtle Beach Bike Week are set!! I am ready!! I was really hoping to lose weight, I keep telling my husband I'm going to buy me some chaps, yeah the ones with nothing covering the butt cheeks??? He doesn't think its funny, I'd like to think I had enough confidence to actually pull something like that off, oh well, we leave in May, so I guess I'll keep teasing him up until the time we leave!! Its too funny, seeing him get all red in the face!! I know I am totally awful, but I JUST can't help it!!

So my good friend Heather, over at Willow Lakes Scents is having a giveaway, for her blog, her 100th post and so on, so everyone needs to head over there and check it out!! I already left my comment, letting her know which one I'd take when she drew my name!! I also told her I wasn't going to blog about it until she emailed me back, but... I do somwhat have a heart, even though she hasn't emailed me yet.

Well, since I know Heather is going to read this, (she'll kill me) acne is starting, does that mean what I think it does, since for the past 2 months we have something in common???? (bloating) HINT!!!! OH YEAH!!! I'll get a rise out of Heather for that one!!!

I'M BUMMING!!

Hey everyone!! Hope your Saturday is going great!! Here in Ohio, it's partly cloudy/partly sunny, and NICE outside!!! I just returned from the post office and tanning, and looked at the themometer (yes, I spelled it wrong!!), and it said 74!! awesome!!

So i'm bumming, because, I was hoping my Out Of The Box Sampler came in, and it didn't!!! AND Heather was suppose to send me a box of goodies, and it didn't come in, and my sis, was suppose to send me pictures of my new nephew, Kalob, and that didn't even come in!!! So for the last two people I mentioned, you are my NAUGHTY list!!! shame on both of you girls!! lol

But the upside, is my husband left this morning to help a friend take trash to the local dump, and this was stopping off at the BMV, to get the new tags for our Harley!!! YEAH!!!!!! I'm so excited, I've been waiting for this since last October, thats when we rode last, we went to the Fall Rally in Daytona, and spent the week with my brother/sister-in law. It was awesome.

So for the rest of today, since I have nothing to go through, and hubby won't be home for awhile, because they are also working on his friends house, I will be spring cleaning!! YUCK!!! and cleaning out the candle room, and going through everything and making sure everything is in the right place, and I may start working on my samples for April's OOTB. (maybe). It's so nice out, I really don't want to spend it all indoors, and tomarrow, its calling for thunderstorms!!

I have noticed we picked up a few more followers!! YIPPIE!!!! thanks to all of you who are following. I hope you all continue to follow, I have fun rambling, and picking on Heather over at Willow Lake Scents!! and of course, when I'm pissed, I don't have problems sharing!! I must tell you, I do vent a lot!!, but I want the people that are following me, to know all aspects of me, your not gettting anything phony!!, I'm an honest person, and if I can't be honest with myself, how can I be honest with all of you. Oh My!!

Oh my!! My day was pretty good today, I was off, still sick, stuffed up nose and all, I had made a deal with myself to do as little as possible, you know, housework, laundry, etc. And I feel pretty darn good that I stuck with my guns!! hehe
I did manage to get dressed, go to the post office, and go tan. I also managed to list our giveaway on about 4-5 sites, so with that in mind, I have changed the deadline of our giveaway, it is no longer March 15th, but is now schedule to be drawn on March 22nd. To ensure that everyone who is interested in our little giveaway, gets a chance to get in on the GREAT Giveaway!!
I am pleased to announce, that in a few days, I will be the proud owner of my very 1st Out of the Box Sampler!! I have been a contributor since October, and never had the extra moo-lah to purchase me a box, well today I spoiled myself!! and I think that will be a monthly thing, to spoil myself and not feel guilty, its not like hubby is buying it, I am back to work!! So I will be doing a review of the Sampler Box after I recieve it, I can honestly say I have been kicking my self in the rear-end for not being able to get one!!
So, in about 2 weeks, my baby will be visiting me!! I always get excited when he comes to stay with us, this time he asked if he could bring his girlfriend??? HELLO!!!! Not happening!!! My baby is 16, he lives in Indiana with his Grandparents, a situation I do not like, but it makes him happy, I think if we would have moved here before the "teen years" kicked in, I think he would have been okay with moving, but he wasn't making any friends, and he terribly missed my dad & my brother & sister, so I know I should have put my foot down, and said no, but at the same time, I didn't want him to hate me, I'd like to think, that coming here to visit & stay gives him something to look forward to, especially since his current home life situation with his grandmother stinks, (in an earlier post, I said she was going in for surgery on March 23rd, she is having half of her right kidney removed). Which I found out earlier this evening, from my sister who stated that mom wasn't to concerned if I was going to be there for her surgery, but thought it was awful that I was coming to get my son, on his Spring Break, and him not going to at the hospital for her surgery. Which as a daughter, makes me feel like crap, knowing that she really doesn't want me there, so I emailed my dad, and let him know what I thought. Especially since I had already told my father, my brother, my sister, and sister -in-law, and my son, that I WAS going to be there for her surgery. I plan on still being there for her surgery, wanted or un-wanted I will be there.
THe thing that makes me mad, is my parents are Ministers, in a Quaker Church, my dad is great at his services, mom well, we won't go there. Lets just say she doesn't practice what she preaches, she passes judgement, she hold grudges, she gossips about other people, and at times she's been known to cuss a tad, all while studying to be a minister. My dad lost his job back in October, and in Feb. was able to get a job at the place he formally worked at, little less pay, but a job regardless, though it only lasts till sometime this summer, it's still a job, the man he replaced went to work where my brother-inlaw works, and my dad had asked how he was doing, my stated that the guy went out and got a "real job", which makes me furious, my dad married my mother in 1973, worked at GM, retired and has had several jobs since retiring, I do believe my dad has earned a whole lot of respect from my mother, which he doesn't get.
I guess I am still a little peeved, over my conversation with my sister earlier this evening, but I had to rant and rave, and hubby isn't home from work yet, and the dog just looks at me like I have totally lost my mind!! which I guess in some ways maybe I have.. As you can tell, I come from a dysfunctional family, and it all started in the womb!!
Well, I have to work tomarrow, so I need to get lunch ready and my bottles of iced tea ready, I take about 4 20oz bottles filled with tea, since I have had this crappy cold, I can't seem to get enough to drink!! Okay, its been a few days, and I am getting back in the groove of things, I'm still sick, I bought some new over the counter medicine, that so fars seems to be working for now. I had been trying most of the day to get on facebook, and up until about an hour ago, was finally able to get on!! I had sooooo many drinking requests, I probably should be drunk by now!! lol.

Today, I called Heather from Willow Lake Scents, finally decided it was time to put a voice with the face, and let me tell you, I was blown away by her New Yorker accent!! She was surprised I caught it, I told her the only reason I caught it was because I watch a lot of Law & Order episodes!! I thought it was funny!! Then she made an statement in one of her emails she sent later, that I sounded like I was from the South?? Well, the only explanation I have, would be I listen to country music, could that be it?? then I thought nahhhh, then I narrowed it down, I tend to watch the comedy channel, especially when they have Larry the Cable Guy, and Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Ron White, thats probably more logical!! as in Larry's words "thats funny stuff right there, I don't care who you are"!! Yep I guessing thats where my southern accent comes from! "Git r done!!!

So I have been waiting for my tv show to come back on the air, which is Saving Grace. It airs on TNT on Monday nights,, at 10pm. Yes! I am plugging this show, I fell in love with from the beginning, I love the way her character is, my mom on the other hand would disagree, thats the only thing we agree on, is that we will always disagree with each other. She thinks its rauncy, I think its awesome!! There are some days I wish I could be like Holly Hunter's character, to have the boldness, in total control, self confidence. All of that, not necessarily, all the sleeping around she does, but all the other stuff, if you get a chance tune into on TNT. You can catch the full episodes on TNT's website also, ya know to catch you up.

So, after a real, long, hectic day in 12 hour hell, I am beat!! My day started off with a very combative resident, so combative, that when I took my morning break, I decided to leave my cell phone in my jeep, I was kinda afraid, the man would hit my pocket and break my phone, and believe me, I have to have my phone, I mean, my dirty text, picture messages from my brother are very important, and at times insightful!! lol. In the meantime, I get off work, and check my phone, it says I have 3 text messages, and 3 voicemails!! I was excited, then I looked, and they were all from hubby!! This man, has not called me this much since we began dating!! Well, it turns out, the only reason he was calling, was he needed our insurance cards, that were in my purse, when I finally called him, I asked what was up, thinking maybe his cold had finally kicked his butt, and decided to go to urgent care to be seen by the doctor, WRONG!!! He decided today at work, he would cut himself with his carpet knife, (he lays carpet, tile and so on). bad enough they put 11 stitches in his fore-arm, and had to tie off 3 different veins, because they kept spurting out blood.

Here I am dog tired, and have to run by urgent care, which is kinda on the way home and kinda isn't, to take these insurance cards, I caught a glance at the bill, for him, for the local they gave him, and 11 stitches, its almost a $600.00 bill. Thank goodness for insurance!!

So if you have read my tag a few weeks back, that Heather sent me, you kinda know that my mother and I do not have a very good mother/daughter relationship since I moved to Ohio, and most of the time, they do not keep informed of anything that is important, uhmmm, like family, well please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers in the next few weeks, my mother has found out, that she has kidney cancer, and its about the size of a quarter, at first the doctors were not going to operate, and now have decided that on March 23rd, they will be removing 1/2 of her right kidney. Supposely, this is not suppose to be hereditary, but then again it's the same kind of cancer that my grandfather passed away of in January of 2007. I guess, they will be testing the kidney after removing it, and most likely, my brother, sister and I will all have to be tested, along with our mother's 2 sisters. So just please keep us in your thoughts, I would surley appreciate it!!

Well, thats my news for today, I have to finish making supper, this is the downfall of the 12 hour shifts, a late supper. I will chat at you all later. Remember to tell your friends and family about the awesome giveaway we are offering, somebody needs to beat HEATHER!!! lol!!

So, today, I did not go to work, in fact at 3am this morning, I ended up calling off. I told you how hubby has been sick, well, guess what, I started running a temp. last night. At 2:30 this morning, I was deciding whether or not to call in, there were a lot of factors that kept tugging at me, the major one that almost made me decide to go into work, was I am in my 90 days probation period, and really they don't like it if you call in, but the deciding factor was the fact that I indeed had a temp. and when working in healthcare and dealing with the elderly, the last thing you want to do is pass it on to one of them, they have enough problems, and with the flu, pnumonia going around they just don't need it. I am sure I don't have what my hubby has, mine is more sinus, and sore throat, and all that, where his whole body aches, he's freezing, he's hot, I did offer to take him to urgent care, but....as I said yesterday, he is stubborn!! So he just went and bought himself some dayquil & nightquil, I didn't have the heart to remind him, not all commercials actually were true.. I mean, dayquil & nightquil never helped me or anyone in my family, my son likes it, because he can fall asleep faster!! So, this morning I just laid around, and hubby decided once again to go to work, (he has a big flooring job he's doing) after he left I went to the dollar store and purchased some Clorox spray, and sprayed down our bed, and the living room, and the bathroom, to help kill his germs!! lol, well, he's more sick, so yes they are his germs!! The dog wasn't pleased with me, when I kicked him out of the kitchen to use the pine-sol on the floor, to also help with the disinfecting I was doing. Our dog licks everything, including the floors, so I guess the pine-sol and clorox didn't taste that good to him.. maybe it will cure him not to lick the carpet and leave all the wet spots on the floor!!

So while lounging around and trying to get my temp down today I was thinking that maybe I needed to have my first giveaway... Okay, so I have had 3 days off in a row!! I was so happy!! All I did Saturday was not a darn thing, but catch up on sleep. This next weekend will be more of the same, starting tomarrow, I have 4 12 hour shifts in a row. I am a glutton for punishment!!

Yesterday, I surfed the web, on roosterhits.com, I finished my samples for the Out Of The Box Sampler, and they should actually arrive on the day they are suppose to!! YEAH!!! and today, I made sure to get those samples sent out, up until 3pm today, I was still in my pj's. I love days like this.

Hubby is working nights for the next 2-3 days, which means, when I get home, I'll have to cook, tomarrow won't be bad, because it's the 1st day of the 4 days I work, but by Wednesday its going to be pb&j, unless hubby finishes early, then it will be on him!!

If you haven't noticed, I added a music player to the blog, and I am VERY happy to report, I did it on my own, though, I was quite tempted to email Heather or Jenn for help, I restrained!! But it took me almost 2 hours to figure it out!! Yes go ahead and laugh, I never said I was good at computers!! so this was a big deal for me, and my self-respect as a blogger.

So, I hope everyones Valentines Day, was romantic, and so on. Mine well lets just say, I have given hubby a few ideas for next year!! Keep in mind, I bought him a card, which was VERY romantic, I also got him some of those "pop rocks" in red hot cinnamon, bedroom use ya know!! hehe. then I bought him this "romantic get away kit, complete, with the bubble bath, which he won't use, massage oil, and so on.... see where I'm going with this scenario??? Goood I'm glad some of you are getting this. My present from him, was a nice Valentines card, and get this a box of swiss cake rolls!!! can you believe it??!! I'm still in well shock!! He knows it's my favorite down-fall, but he must have ignored me all week, when I made several statements about the current diet I am on, trying to lose the weight I gained by being off work since September. Then he took me to my favorite steakhouse, which is OUTBACK, and complained that we had to wait for 50 minutes for a table. I asked him "you do realize this is Valentines Day right??"

Any-hoo, like I said, I've given suggestions for next year's Valentines Day, and I probably should leave hints for our anniversary in May, or I might end up with the cheese puffs!!

As you can see, M-D's blog, is getting a makeover!! I have contacted Jenn at the Villiage Peddler, to make my blog HOT!! and I know she will, as long as her computer doesn't die!! so bear with the changes, I am soooooooo excited, she did my header and I just about went ape sh##, I just loved it sooo much, that I emailed her and told her I wanted theh whole thing done!!

As of this week, if you order from me off my website, I just wanted to let everyone know, that I will be shipping items out, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, due to my work schedule, and shince they are 12 hour shifts, there is no way I can get to the post office. I have my schedule kinda worked out that I work Mon.& Tues. then Thurs. & Fri. and so with that in mind, please be gentle!! Trust me, I didn't want to go back to Nursing, let alone 12 hour shifts, but this facility doesn't offer 8 hour shifts for the Nursing Staff.

Today I went and bought some new shoes, my nursing shoes I bought last year, just sucked, I guess they are more made for 8 hour shifts than 12, I bought a couple of new pants, mainly because as I washed my scrubs before putting them away after I quit my job, I re-washed them, when I got this one, and instead of the oxi-clean color boost being put in the washer, the iron out was put there instead!!! All I can say, it was part of the bad week I was having a couple of weeks back!!

So i'm getting ready for Lori, the personal stalker of Heather & I, to do a review and giveaway on her blog, I have to get the item to Lori to try out to review, and that will be sent out on Wednesday, and I will let Lori handle all the details on her blog when everything is ready to go. All I know, is this crazy chic, needs to quit tagging me!!! okay she tagged me once, and then she has given me 2 awards, that I will get put on the blog, when Jenn is done with the "makeover" but, her awards wants me to pass along, to other people, which is hard, because I don't know alot of other people. But will try my best to accomodate Lori, since she was sweet enough to give me 2 awards!!

Okay, so now I am going to get supper started, the "Amazing Race" and "Cold Case" are on tv tonite, so at least until 10pm, I'll be in front of the tube!! Hope everyone had a great weekend, and I'll try to blog tomarrow, as long as I am not tooo tired from those darn 12 hour shifts!!

What WAS I Thinking!!!

Alrighty then!!!, As some of you all know, as of Tuesday, I went back to work!! What was I thinking???, well, I was thinking I need the money, to feed my candle additictions, need NEW Harley wear, for Bike Week, in May, need to make 1 more payment, and my car will be offically paid off!! (thats the greatest feeling right there!!), that would actually give me more money for my candle addicition!! lol

Well let me tell you, on Monday nite, I took 2 tylenol pm's, because since I've not been working and staying up late most , ok majority of the time, either on the computer, or catching up with shows I've recorded on the DVR, I could not see myself going to bed and then getting up at 5am, for the alarm, to get ready for work, but after I took the tylenol pm, and let it kinda take its course, I emailed my CRAZY, and yes I said CRAZY, friend, Heather, who will most likely say that I was the one who was crazy, (my email must of been well long!!), and I'm sure it made no sense, seeing how she didn't even respond to my email, (maybe she thinks I took something a little stronger??) which would have helped if I had, at 2am Tuesday morning I am wide awake in my chair, unable to sleep, which is not good, cuz that damn alarm clock is going off at 5!!, I eventually get to sleep, get up, get showered, dressed and out the door!! for 12 hour shifts!!! yuckky!!!! I get to my new job, i'm excited, i'm nervous (probably why I couldn't sleep, NERVES), I clock in, I go to the board to find out where I am to report, THE BEHAVIOR WARD, which in my terms, is mental ward!! YEAH!!!! MEMORIES!!!, for 12 hours, I knew i would have to eventually train on this unit, I just figured it would most likely not be my 1st day! although, I did joke with a few of friends, that I would probably be there! (it was a joke, I actually didn't think the "big guy" up stairs would take my joking seriously!! As you can tell I survived. I did my 12 hours, I came home, dog ass tired!!, feet hurting like they have never hurt before, I for some insane reason thought my husband would take pity on me, and possibly cook supper, or suggest that we go out for supper (which I was hoping for), but, I ended up cooking!! and I was not in a good mood when I was done, let me tell you, while I was cooking, he was watching the simspons!! and then he was watching the food chanel, (Anthony Bourdain). I didn't have any trouble sleeping that night!!!
So then yesterday, I trained on a different unit, (evidently, if you have experience, you only get 1 day of oreintation on each unit), I survived that day, it was actually a good day, until I got 10 minutes from home, the weather here isn't bad, as far as snow, or anything like that, we were just having some issues, with tornado watches, 60 mph high winds, stuff I can handle, until I crossed over an intersection, and I could bearly get any further than that, I pulled off as far as my car would let me, it just seemed like it was being pulled or tugged on, I get out of my car, I start looking around, (like I have any idea what I'm looking for!), and find, that I have ran over and got all caught up in what looked like fish netting?? and from what I could tell, since it was dark, it was wrapped around my wheels, and my tail pipe!! YEAH!! I called my husband, he came out, and had to literally, get under my car and cut all this crap out, there must have been thousands of this crap, he took care of everything, (tho, he is not off the hook for my first day of work, by no means), he asked, "did you go off the side of the road??" answer no, this crap, was wrapped around both tires, both back axles, and tail pipe.. So I became a victim of our "high wind warning" and I was pissed off!! I am on the side of the road, there must have been over 75 cars that drove by, and none of them offered to see if I needed any help, and after my husband got there, still no one stopped, so needless to say, if your on the side of the road, I most likely won't stop anymore to see if you need help, it not like I am in the habit of doing that, but in weather like we were having, a friendly gesture would have been appreciated.

So today I am off, I go back in tomarrow, for my last orientation day, on a different unit, but for today, I am going to get caught up on some blog reading, and do some web surfing, and do a few candle orders, to ready to ship out on saturday, since I am off the weekends. So I have told you all about the last 2 days of my life, and I hope maybe you have found a little bit of humor, it took me awhile to find it, so I hope you got it right off the bat!! Happy Thursday!!

OK, so this past week has really sucked!! So I am hoping this next week is a tad bit better! On Monday I will besending out the giveaway items, (like I said, this past week has really sucked!) So the sale I was having on the website has ended, as of last night at midnite, I was hoping for a better response, but oh well.

In a few weeks, i'll be putting on another sale, and hopefully what I plan on doing will be better than this last one. I hope everybodys week went better!!

Hopefully next week I start my "new job" (yucky!!!) But its only 3 12 hour shifts a week, and best part NO WEEKENDS!!! I kinda hit the jackpot with that one. Hopefully things will go well there, and maybe pick up here. Isn't that how it always works??

Okay, so that crazy chic, from Willow Lake Scents ( Heather), has tagged me!! for the life of me, I don't know why??? I haven't ever done nothing to her!!! so, GAME ON!! she'll be hearing about this on facebook later today!! hehe.

So I guess the rules are to say 25 things about yourself, that nobody knows, and then tag 5 people, well, I'm sure I won't have a problem with the 25 things, but forsure wll have issues, with the 5 people......thinking????....... Hoepfully by the time I'm done with the 25 things, maybe I'll have a clue, about the 5 people. so here goes it!

1. I was born and raised in Newport, Indiana

2. My son, who is 16 lives with my parents, in Indiana, (he hated it here in Ohio)

3. I so desire to have another child.

4. I will be 39 in June.

5. My husband is my 5th husband, (no, i'm not proud, but it is embarrassing!! I am a magnet for LOSERS, but this one is the real deal!!)

6. I lost the most important influence to me a year ago, (my grandfather, to kidney cancer)

7. Since I have not been working fulltime, since September, I have gained 15 pounds!! YUCK!! (just found out today, when I went to do my physical for my new job)

8. I love Miller lite beer, and strawberry margaritas.

9. I can drink a gallon of tea a day by myself (of course, I'm up half the nite peeing!!)

10. I have the high score on my cellphone, for Tetris!! ( I never liked the viedo game)

11. I rent an apartment until we get moved in to our new house. (which will hopefully be in the next 2 months)

12. I use to mix cherry vodka & Mt. dew for a mixed drink. (can't drink mt. dew anymore, mixed a little too much one nite!! didn't come up nicely either!!)

13. I have a habit of seeing the best in everyone!! (hence 5 husbands!!)

15. I Love pizza!!!

16. I love to go shopping for shoes.

17. I bought my 1st pair of Levi jeans when I was 36 yrs. old!!

18. I have been a certified nursing assistant for 18 years, working mainly in nursing homes.

20. I am a total clean freak, didn't get that from my mother either!

21. I had a miscarriage in 2007 (hence wanting another baby)

22. Since I moved to Ohio, my mother and I don't get along. (states she will never come here to visit, because she wasn't the one that moved)

24. My husband & I got married on the beach in South Carolina, during BIKE WEEK!!!

25. I am in the process of letting my hair grow long!! I haven't had long hair since high school, (graduated in 1989!!!!!)

Happy Superbowl Day to everyone!! Hope your FAVORITE TEAMS WINS!! I am not a big football buff myself, I do try to follow the scores for the Indianapolis Colts, but I was born and raised in Vermillion County Indiana, so I kind stay loyal when it comes to a major team! But then again, we have no major baseball, so I keep tabs on the ST. LOUIS CARDINALS. (of course if Indiana would have a major ball team, i'd still choose STL CARDS!! But in the spirit of today big game, I did however put on my facebook profile a Homer Simpson decked out in the Steelers!! I have family and friends that live in PA, so I will be loyal to them.

So here is the picture of the dragonfly electric candle!! I was very good today and had my butt in gear, to make sure I had this up and on my website & here on blogger!! So I have had a pretty productive day!! Got this candle done and caught up on the laundry, of course, it is 7:42 in the evening and I am still in my PJ's!! I love days like this!!!

All right, the end of January is here!! Time flies when you're having fun!! Its been a few days since I've been on to post anything, I've been working with myhusband this past week, and by the time I get home, I'm so dog tired, I can't even think that If even tried to post anything it would come out readable!!

So the big giveaway happening on willow lake's blog ends at midnite tomarrow night, good-luck to all those that left posts on her sight, and THANKS A BIG BUNCH to those that signed on to follow my blog!! If I could I would make everyone of you an Electric Candle!! but then, i'd be broke for sure!! lol.

So if you have read some of my posts, I talked about a electric candle dragonfly that I have had for a year or more, you know the one I can't get to come out of the mold without breaking?? Well, against all odds, I will be making it, but it just won't be out of soy wax, I'll be using the paraffin wax, (which I cannot stand to use), but want to be able to make and sell!! This will be the ONLY product on my website that I will offer in paraffin! I don't know why I don't like it, it could be because working with the soy is soooooo much better, with the soy wax, I don't have to worry about doing that second pour. So when I get one made up, hopefully tonite maybe tomarrow, I'll get it posted on the website, so be sure to check under the "electric candle" section to see if I got my butt in gear and got it up there!! and if I did get my butt in gear, i'll post a picture here too.

So today, I went to our local Harly Davidson store, (my husband bought me a gift certificate for Christmas), and I guess his feelings were hurt because I hadn't used it yet, to be honest I kinda felt guilty because I sorta made a deal with him in October, and because I ended up quitting my job in September, and wasn't able to keep my deal, I just felt guilty!! Okay, my deal was that if he cut his ponytail off, I would buy him his leather Harley jacket!!! But, end the end, he did not cut his ponytail off just for me, his friend's sister has lupus and some other major health problems, and every few months she had to go and get like hair put in, soooo he ended up giving his ponytail to her!! Which I think was a much better gift than a Harley jacket!!

So, a friend and I were talking the other nite on facebook, and we were talking about festivals, and home-shows, and etc, because I need to be doing that sort of thing for advertising purposes, and just to help get the M-D name out there, so she asked why not have a candle party?? Well, dumb me was thinking, "I don't want people at my home", (I live in an apartment, until our house is ready for us to move into), well, she was talking about an online candle party, so I am in the process of getting together the information, and was just wondering, with what followers I have gained, if anyone would actually be interested in helping me to get the first one off the ground?? so if you are interested, just get a hold of me through my website! There would be a lot of great incentives!!

So, well thats all I really have for now, I need to be doing more research for this "on-line " candle party thing. and I'm sure, my husband would be thrilled, if I made supper at an earlier time, so give me a shout!! if you would be interested in the "on-line" candle party, or just to give me suggestions!!

M-D has FACEBOOK!!!

Oh good lord, just when you think its safe, someone always seems to sneak one up on you!! I was over on prim mart earlier, and someone had started a discussion about facebook, I went to visit her page, well you guessed it, I decided it's no big deal, I can do this!! Figuring out this blog was soooo much easier, even though I still haven't figured out how to to my buttons I want in the side bars!!

So now I have Facebook, I never pictured myself as being "hi-tech", and yes, this is "hi-tech" for me!! My 16 yr. old son, probably would have just breezed right through it, of course he is a smart***!! and at his age knows everything according to him. So if you want to go get on my fan page, or whatever that means that would be really cool!! M-D Giveaway at Willow Lake Scent's Blog

HI! Everyone, it's been a few days, since I last posted, I've been trying to get my samples ready to send off for the Valentines theme, for Out Of The Box Sampler, I had started out going to do hearts & teddy bear tarts, but after much thinking and playing around with these molds, its going to make it impossible, for one, the main reason being, is the silicone, is a different type, its main use is for "cold" products, the wax gets so imbedded into the mold, I have to practically peel the wax out of the molds, and then, they just look terrible, the hearts aren't so bad, but the teddy bears, I guess its because of the detailing and the wax gets in there, like I've stated before, the heads of these bears, pop off, when trying to pry these little fellas out of the mold. So I have decided just to send in sample packs of the wax crumbles, and maybe some heart shaped tarts. I was really disappointed. this is the 2nd time, I've tried to come up with something different, also the advantage was to add something new to the website also. OH WELL, whatcha gonna do??

So I have been collaberating with my newest good buddy Heather from Willow Lake Scents, and she is going to do a review on her blog, about the products here at M-D, WHICH IS AWESOME!!! And, I will be giving away, an Electric Candle, all you have to do is post comments on Heathers blog, about my site. And she will use an automated thingamajig to draw the name, then if your name is drawn, you will go to my site, and pick out your color and your scent for the Electric Candle, and you will need to give Heather your mailing info, that way she can pass it along to me, then I can mail out your Electric Candle. Its that easy to do. I'm not sure what the time frame will be, I will leave that up to Heather, she has more experience in this department than what I do!!

My Electric Candle

Here is just one of the many things I do, I like doing the Electric Candles, they are fun, and easy to make, the thing that takes time with these are waiting for the wax to completly harden, in order to remove it from the mold, which is usually andywhere from 3-5 hours, I usually wait until about the 5 hour mark, that me personally. The pip & berry garland, takes a little time also, but not near as long, I usally buy these, all on one long strand, and then I take about anywhere from 10-12 strands, and then start by twisting them all together, its a tad bit time consuming, but as far as spending money to buy the rings already made up, it is very cost effective. Then I use a 6 watt bulb, I had been buying the clip in light, that come with the cord, with the on/off switch, but here latley, I have been able to get the "country candle", it has its own base, and also comes with the on/off switch, and then I just change the bulb to the 6 watt bulb, and it is normally has the silicone on the bulb, but then there are days, I can't find those bulbs around here, and just put in a 5 watt bulb, that I can normally get at any craft store. By rule of thumb, you need to use anywhere from a 5-7 watt bulb, in order to get a whiff of the scent, you don't ever want to replace with a "nightlight" bulb, I had a friend that replaced with the nightlight bulb, instead of going to the local craft store to get the 5 watt bulb, well needless to say she was pissed off, because the heat from that nightlight bulb, completely melted a big whopper of a hole in her electric candle. I love mine, I keep in plugged in 24/7. My mother and grandmother complained they couldn't smell theirs, well, it's not going to smell if it's not turned on, having it plugged into the wall helps, but it helps a lot more when the thing is actually TURNED ON!!! HELLLOOOOOO.

Okay I know its been a few days since I blogged, I have a hard time knowing what to blog about, so I guess, as usual whatever comes to mind, will be added. As you all know, The Out Of The Box Sampler, has already sold out of their Jan. boxes, I was in that box!! I am already working on my samples for the Feb. box, which has a Valentines days theme, which will be sooooo cool. I plan on getting me a box, from the sounds of it, I will need to get up very early one of these months, to beat Heather from Willow Lake Scents!!! But she's one up on me, I'm not an early riser, but if I get that nursing job, I will be working nights, so I might be 2nd!! lol

Speaking of Heather, she is having a Valentines giveaway on her blog, so get over to: Http://www.willowlakescents.blogspot.com for your chance to win her giveaway, it's relatively painless to do, just leave a comment!! I had left one, a few weeks back, but didn't see mine on there, so I left another one. That right there has we prayin' my name gets drawn, I don't ever win anything!! and that would be one package to win.

So I have been out putting in applications, fillingout on-line resumes, and printing my resumes off to take with my applications, it's really tough out there, I know I probably shouldn't have left my job back in September, but crap, I was sooooooooooooooo burned out, and not feeling appreciated, and just felt like, I can get this at home! not that it's like that at my house, but it just sometimes feels the same!

I have been working on those darn teddy bears for the sampler box, and I'm just getting more frustrated day by day, the poor little heads just pop right off of them!! I am getting the hang of it now, I figured out I need to stretch the sides of that mold, and that kind of "releases" them from sticking to the sides, and of course, I couldn't find my mold release spray, so I used a little of the non-stick spray, which worked a little, not much, it was good to make my fingers just slide all over, while trying to pry those bears out. I also have been working on my dragonfly mold, I bought it over a year ago, and I have been trying like hell, to get that out of the mold without it breaking, of course, I'm using the feathered palm wax, and I did try it with paraffin, and it pops out, but I don't advertise using paraffin on my website, but I guess If I want to be able to sell any of these, I may have to offer that particular product in paraffin. Which totally blows!

One of these days I'll figure out how to change my look here, and add pictures, I am just totally hopeless when it comes to this computer stuff!!

okay well, I have to make supper, and work on my "creations" for the sampler box, they go out earlier this month.

Greetings!! I have been out of the loop for a few days, but I think I'm ready to back into the swing of things here.
So if you read my last post, I was talking about how I wanted to do the small hearts, and teddy bears, I did them, they are harder than heck to pop out of the mold, the hearts were'nt that hard I guess, but when I went to get the teddy bears out, their little heads popped out first, that was the 2nd sign to tell me that this wasn't going to be an easy task with these teddy bears!!, of course the first sign being they wasn't coming out of the mold with ease!!
I have been trying new things, I bought a couple of molds from candle and supply back in October, the first time we were at my mother-in-laws, they had them on sale, they are either a 3x6 or 3x9, metal mold, I hadn't done anything with them, so I'm getting ready to play with them, and see if I like doing them, and If I do, then I'll put them on the website. I also was messin around with another mold my bestest friend is letting me use, I did put that one on the website, that mold is a 4x4 1/2. At least that what I measured it as. Who knows, math was never my strong suit, and using a tape measure at times is challenging! It did turn out nice, so I decided to do one for my home, and now keep in mind, when I did the one for the website, I did everything right, as far as poking the holes, and filling the holes up, well, guess what I didn't do for my house, you guess it, poke the holes, and guess what it exploded!! So glad the hubby was gone!! It wasn't that bad as far as mess goes, but let me tell you, I never experienced a candle doing that, so it was freaky, and I can see now why we have to put canlde labels on our products!!, but I don't think they say anything about exploding candles, good thing I am an experienced candle burner. (haha).
As you probably noticed, I haven't figured out how to put pictures on my blog, and I found this site the otherday, that I could get a new "look" for my blog, well, I lost the website, and so I have been also looking for that, I just think my lok could be a little more appealing. I have some buttons I'd like to put on my also, and haven't figured that one out either, so those of you that are following me, any suggestions to a newbie blogger???please.
Ok, also with the help from Tina, at DIY, she helped me get my guestbook going. I had no clue as to what I was doing, This poor lady, is probably sick of me, but I think she absolutley ROCKS, I have given that gal permissions, to modify anything on my website. I just love the crap out of that lady!! I'd let her move in, just to keep me from going insane with this website. But then she would go insane for having to put up with me, but seriously, i'm not that bad, sorta.
Okay, can any one tell me, how to put the link on my website for here?? as of right now, I have it so they read it, and tells them where I'm located.
Well for now, I have to get off of here, I need to take a shower, and go back outside in this freaking cold weather, we are currently -7 here in Ohio, with a wind chill of -20-25 below, according to our local weather man, he can't call the snow half the time, but he has this bone-chillin weather down!!

Okay so I know I am up late doing this blog, really late considering I am getting up at 5:30 to go work with hubby today. Don't worry, I left my kneepads at the job site. Wouldn't it be funny if he forgot his?? hehe.

So I just finished putting my new products on my website, I was so looking forward to having the teddy bear tarts, but I'm thinking I need to go buy some mold release, which is just crazy, be cause the hearts I have, are actully made from the same material as the teddy bears, the only thing I can figure out is that the teddy bears has a little more detailing in them, maybe thats why they wouldn't release. Heck I don't know, I just know that every single one of them broke when trying to get them out of the mold. which sucked!!

This is my 3rd time in the box, and I'll be in the box in February too, I just so love making things for the Sampler, sometimes I just don't know what I'm wanting to do, I have sent in jars, tarts, votives, and tin pails, and so on, so each month I struggle, I had a great thing I wanted to do for the "superbowl" but every idea I had just wasn't working for me, I couldn't find the things I wanted, and If I did find them, there wasn't enough to make sure I was in several boxes. So I'm getting a head start for February, or at least I'm going to try, it just depends If I find a job.

Don't get me wrong, I love working with my husband, but sometimes........we just won't go there!

OKAY gang, I have to go to bed, If I'm not toooooo tired when we get home tomarrow, I'll let you know how my day went. Hopefully, I won't piss him off and he won't piss me off. (yeah right, one of us is going down, and not in the "good way")

Busy, busy!!

Ok. I know I haven't wrote anything since I signed up, truth is, I have been busy. Well, kinda, I worked Thursday and Friday with my husband, he install flooring, carpet, tile etc. well, I've been helping him, I still haven't heard nursing home, about starting there yet, so... I'll work with him, but I am using muscles I have forgotten all about, and it doesn't help that I have a compression fracture in my back, from an accident I had at work back in 2000, well, Thursday we get to that job, and I asked him where my kneepads were?? well; guess what boy genius forgot!! He remembered his but not mine, so my knees have been killing me, they are red, and I'm just plan pissed off!!

Friday went better, I made sure my kneepads were with us, and so it wasn't as bad, but the pain from Thursday is still here. By Monday I should be as good as new, and ready to do it all over again.!!

I am hoping to have my new jars, and scents added to my website by the time I go to bed Sunday evening, I am so excited, I hope by adding to more jars to my jars I have now, will prove to be successful, they are just plain ol' canning jars I picked up at candle and supply when we were in Pennsylvania visiting my in-laws, last month, and I am adding some new tarts also to the website, I have them in shapes of footballs, these suckers are huge!! I actually bought the mold from Walmart, as well as the fall leaves mold I found there to!! I found them back in the cake decorating isle, and less expensive than ordering them on line, at hobby lobby, I was able to find a silicone mold in the shapes of hearts and teddy bears, (also less expensive), I want to be sure I have them on the website too. I am anxious to start to get more orders, I have supplies, I just need the orders, somedays its just crazy not to have the sales that I think I should have, and I alot of times here lately have been pretty down about it, its very hard to keep thinking positive when all you can think of is being negative, but I'm trying to work on that.

Well here in a couple of weeks I should be an "aunt" again, my sister is pregnant with her 3rd child, I must say when I first found out, I was pissed, and jealous, and hurt!! My husband and I were married in May of '07, in June of '07, I found out I was pregnant, about 2 years earlier, I was told by a specialist, that I was going to be able to get pregnant without help, so imagine our surprise when we realized I was pregnant, we spent money on about 5 pregnancy tests, and all of them said positive!! I guess, the drinking on our honeymoon help!! lol, and was ALOT cheaper than going to the specialist! Well it was a short lived pregnancy, one week my parents are expecting 2 new grandchilderen, the next week, my brothers wife and I both miscarried, about 2 days apart! that was just horrifying, my son was 15 at the time I found out I was pregnant, and was pissed, because he thought I was "to old", then he was heartbroken, when he found out what had happened. So back to my sister, the thing that upset me the most, was her due date, it was the exact same day, that I was suppose to be due, Feb. 12th. I cried for 2 days, I have since then, decided not to drink, which I haven't, I haven't given up the ciggerettes yet, but that is one of my new years resolutions, so if your following me, maybe a prayer or 2 wouldn't hurt, any encouragement to help me quit smoking would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Looking forward to May, it will be our 2 year anniversary, and we celebrate it in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, it was bike week, when we got married, and we have decided to go back every year to celebrate, we didn't have a bike the last 2 times we've been, this year we have one, my husband bout us a 95 harley davidson sportser, so we won't have to follow my husbands brother and his wife inour truck, we will be right beside them!! In October, we went to Florida, for bike week there, his brother lives in Deland Florida, we were in a ride for Camp Boggy Creek, tons of bikers, raising money for a wonderful cause, its for kids and their families, kids who have cancer, etc. and its all free of charge, it was awesome to be a part of that.

So New To Blogging!!

OK!! So noooooo, I don't know what I'm doing, all I know is that there are a ton, of the websites that I visit, that have blogs. So I figure, it's about time that I learn how to have one myself, not that I know how to get the link on my website to here, it's all so new to me, kinda of makes me wish I'd paid more attention in high school, but then again I graduated in 1989, and I'm pretty sure people were not blogging then. So then I guess I should feel good about NOT paying attention.

Okay so about me, my name is Misty, I grew up in Indiana, I have a 16yr. old son, who is just a firecracker, I know that by the time he graduates, he most likely will make me a grandma, which just scares the living crap out of me!! I moved to Ohio, in 2006, I moved here because my then boyfriend, which is now my husband lived over here, and I felt like I just needed a changed of pace not for just myself, but for my son also, (who ended up moving back to Indiana, 2 months later, because he felt like the new school he was in, was just for "farm kids"). And that was his thinking because the school was away from town, and out in the middle of nowhere, but he fails to see, that back in Indiana, his school he goes to, is also away from town, off the side of a major highway, it's a little closer to a town, that does has a local burger king, and a couple of gas stations. He comes to visit on breaks from school, and during the football season, I make the 3 1/2 hour trip to watch him play. And we also go over there, for holidays, and for my husband to do flooring for my family, of course it has to be for free, since they are "family", which my husband doesn't mind that at all.
So, I opened my on-line candle store in September of '08, and I have had fun with it, making and creating new things, and trying new things, business was a little slow, but hopefully the more I get my name out there, things will pick up, I was in the Out of The Box Sampler, in October, then in December, and I will be in the box for January, and February, which those boxes do go on sale the 15th of every month. If your not familiar with the OOTB, you really need to go to Michelle's website, she does an awesome job for the etailers, by getting their products seen.
Well, thats it for now, I'm going to sign off today and try to figure out why my picture won't come up for my profile, and go post that I now have a blog!! that is so weird. My son, probably has a blog, guess it time for momma to go hi-tech. So until next time.......
